Qualifications and Requirements:
- Valid Illinois Physical Therapy license (IL PT License)
- Experience or strong interest in working with K-12 school-aged students
- Background or knowledge in school-based physical therapy practices
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Dedication to promoting inclusion and student success in an educational setting
- Availability to work onsite and participate fully in school activities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough screenings and assessments of K-12 students to determine therapy needs
- Develop tailored, goal-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and staff
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy sessions supporting student mobility and independence
- Document student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
- Consult with families and education teams to maximize carryover of therapy strategies in school and home environments
