Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Background or knowledge in school-based physical therapy practices
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
  • Dedication to promoting inclusion and student success in an educational setting
  • Availability to work onsite and participate fully in school activities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough screenings and assessments of K-12 students to determine therapy needs
  • Develop tailored, goal-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with teachers and staff
  • Deliver individualized and group physical therapy sessions supporting student mobility and independence
  • Document student progress, maintain records, and participate in IEP meetings as needed
  • Consult with families and education teams to maximize carryover of therapy strategies in school and home environments
