Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist in the Fort Myers area for the upcoming academic year. As an integral part of the educational community, youll offer expert therapy services to children and adolescents (Pre-K through grade 12) across multiple campuses, helping each student achieve their fullest potential.

What Youll Bring:

• Masters or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
• Active Physical Therapist license issued by the Florida Department of Health
• School-based or pediatric physical therapy experience preferred
• Excellent communication and organization skills, adaptable for itinerant work
• Ability to travel between school sites within the district
• Up-to-date fingerprinting and background clearance, or willingness to complete these through Floridas AHCA Clearinghouse and JLA process as required

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students within an itinerant, district-wide assignment
• Develop, implement, and document individualized therapy plans in collaboration with IEP teams
• Assess functional abilities, monitor progress, and report findings to educational staff and families
• Participate actively in eligibility, planning, and review meetings for students receiving therapy services
• Educate staff on appropriate physical accommodations and support mobility/adaptation initiatives across assigned campuses
• Maintain compliance with all state and district policies

This full-time assignment runs from August through the end of May, offering consistent hours (up to 37.5 hours per week) and the chance to make a significant difference across various age groups and abilities. All services are provided on-site.
