Qualifications and Experience:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in New York State
• Experience or strong interest in working with children and adolescents in educational environments
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to coordinate care plans with staff, students, and families
• Knowledge of IEP development and special education requirements preferred
• Strong organizational and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students with physical or developmental challenges
• Provide direct therapy services supporting students mobility, strength, and motor coordination within the school environment
• Collaborate closely with educators, parents, and other school-based professionals to align interventions with educational goals
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation according to school and regulatory guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, progress reviews, and student support teams to contribute expertise and recommend appropriate accommodations
• Educate staff and families on techniques and strategies to assist students physical development both at school and at home
