Desired Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Physical Therapy
- Current and valid New Jersey physical therapist license
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric environment strongly preferred
- Thorough understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication skills for collaborative teamwork with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Ability to adapt interventions to meet diverse student needs across different age groups
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations for students referred for physical therapy
- Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with educational goals
- Deliver direct and consultative PT serviceshelping students improve mobility, access to learning environments, and functional independence
- Document progress, maintain compliance with school/district regulations, and participate in IEP meetings
- Provide education to staff and families on strategies that encourage safe movement and participation
- Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic support
- Adapt your approach for various developmental stages, from elementary through high school
