Essential Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Current New Jersey Physical Therapist license in good standing
  • Experience working in school-based and/or pediatric settings is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
  • Strong organizational abilities and adaptability when managing caseloads spanning multiple age groups

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct physical therapy services to students in elementary, middle, and high schools, addressing their individual motor development needs
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and create individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to ensure integrated support and optimal outcomes
  • Monitor and document student progress, updating goals and strategies as needed
  • Assist in developing accommodations and modifications to support student participation in academic activities
  • Serve as a resource for staff and parents by promoting awareness of physical therapys role in the educational setting
