Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Massachusetts PT license required
- Experience working in K-12 educational settings is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP processes and pediatric physical therapy
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to consult with staff, students, and families
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student needs
Core Responsibilities:
- Assess and identify student physical needs within a K-12 school environment
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans aligned with educational objectives
- Collaborate closely with teachers, school faculty, and families to optimize student outcomes
- Monitor and document student progress, maintaining thorough and accurate records
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support student mobility and participation
