Step into an influential role supporting students as a Physical Therapist in a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This rewarding contract position offers two distinct caseload options: an Early Intervention assignment (11-month duration) and a K-12 opening. Begin making a difference from August 10th, 2026 through June 17th, 2027 in a full-time capacity.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Physical Therapy license is required.
- Experience working with school-aged children or in early intervention programs is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability to address diverse student needs.
- Commitment to fostering inclusive, supportive educational experiences.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services to students per their IEPs or intervention plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine students physical development and therapy needs.
- Develop tailored treatment goals, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed.
- Work closely with teachers, parents, and other specialists to support students access to the educational curriculum.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation aligned with district and state standards.
- Participate in IEP meetings, professional development, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
