Desired Qualifications:
- Active license to practice Physical Therapy in Vermont
- Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Recent experience working with children, preferably in educational or pediatric settings
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Familiarity with IEP development and progress reporting
- Ability to foster positive relationships with students, staff, and families
- Flexibility and problem-solving abilities to adapt interventions to individual needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct Physical Therapy interventions for students with diverse abilities
- Conduct assessments to determine students physical needs in an educational setting
- Develop individualized treatment plans and contribute to multidisciplinary IEP meetings
- Track student progress through clear documentation and periodic evaluations
- Educate teachers and caregivers on supportive strategies for student mobility and participation
- Participate in school-based initiatives and staff development activities
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations related to school-based therapy
