Step into a dynamic role supporting K-12 students through impactful physical therapy services in a school-based setting close to Burleson, TX. This contract opportunity begins as a part-time placement in July, providing essential interventions before seamlessly transitioning into a full-time role in August. You'll play a key part in enhancing student mobility and helping children with a wide range of disabilities achieve their goals throughout the academic calendar.
This itinerant position offers the chance to work with diverse caseloads, primarily serving campuses in the southern region of the district. If you have a passion for making a difference alongside fellow education professionals, your expertise will be valued across multiple school sites.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Texas Physical Therapist license (required)
- Prior experience serving children and adolescents (K-12) in school settings
- Confidence managing a variety of disabilities and adapting practices to multiple learning environments
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
- Flexibility to provide services across several schools as an itinerant provider
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct and consult PT services to K-12 students, ranging from mild to severe needs
- Assess, document, and develop individualized therapy plans targeting student growth and participation
- Coordinate with teachers, staff, and families to support IEP goals
- Adapt and implement interventions in both group and individual contexts
- Travel as needed between assigned schools within the southern portion of the district
On Offer:
- Initial part-time caseload in July (approx. 40 service hours from July 13 to August 3)
