An exciting opportunity awaits for a skilled physical therapist passionate about supporting K-12 students in a dynamic educational environment. This full-time, in-person contract position spans the 2026/27 school year, starting as soon as possible and ending in June 2027. Youll play a crucial role across a district, helping students build and restore mobility for greater participation and success within a K-12 setting.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Active state licensure as a physical therapist
- Experience or strong interest in working with children and adolescents in a school setting
- Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills
- Commitment to serving diverse student populations, districtwide
- Availability for full-time hours, Monday through Friday (32-37.5 hours/week)
- Willingness to work fully onsite for the best collaborative outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based PT services to a caseload spanning kindergarten through 12th grade
- Conduct student assessments and develop individualized treatment plans and goals
- Provide direct therapy, consultative support, and progress monitoring as required by IEPs
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings alongside educational teams
- Educate and coach school personnel and families on strategies to optimize student mobility and independence
- Maintain clear, compliant records to document services, interventions, and progress
- Adapt therapy as needed to meet evolving student and program needs
