Job Description

A physical therapy professional is sought to provide specialized services during the Extended School Year (ESY) program in Huntingdon County, PA. This per diem position involves working directly with students in a school setting over the summer months, supporting their therapeutic needs to enhance mobility and function.

Location:

  • Huntingdon County, PA (2 nearby school sites, approximately 15-20 minutes apart)

Schedule and Caseload:

  • Service period: June 22, 2026 August 3, 2026 (6 weeks)
  • Initial caseload from June 23, 2026 July 16, 2026 (4 weeks): 4 students 2 sessions per student, 30 minutes each over the 4-week period Weekly 45-minute sessions for some students Weekly 30-minute sessions for others
  • Additional student from June 22, 2026 August 3, 2026 (exact time TBD)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-person physical therapy interventions aligned with PDE requirements
  • Administer individualized treatment sessions to meet students therapeutic goals
  • Collaborate with educational teams to integrate therapy strategies in school activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes for each student served

Qualifications:

  • Valid Physical Therapy license meeting Pennsylvania Department of Education requirements
  • Experience working in school-based physical therapy settings preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with children in educational environments
  • Reliable transportation to travel between two close-proximity school sites
