Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Michigan
- Experience working with children or within school settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Knowledge of pediatric physical therapy practices and individualized education plan (IEP) processes
- Adaptability to diverse student needs and environments
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and evaluate students physical abilities and needs
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans aligned with students IEPs
- Work directly with students individually and in small groups to improve functional mobility
- Support teachers and staff with strategies and adaptations to promote student participation in academic settings
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with regulations
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, sharing insights and recommendations for student success
- Communicate effectively with families, educators, and other professionals involved in student care
