Step into a dynamic contract opportunity supporting students with diverse needs as a Physical Therapist near Nottingham, MD. In this impactful school-based role, youll provide essential PT services to children and adolescents from pre-kindergarten through 12th grade throughout the current academic year. The caseload includes students with a range of challenges, such as autism, cognitive disabilities, and those who are medically fragile, requiring a compassionate, flexible approach and a strong clinical background.

Your role will involve collaborating with educators, families, and other professionals to promote students mobility, access, and participation in educational settings. This is a full-time opportunity, working 35+ hours per week in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Qualifications:

• Active Maryland Physical Therapy License required
• Experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred
• Confidence supporting students with a variety of disabilities, from mild to severe (including autism, cognitive disabilities, and medically fragile cases)
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
• Flexibility and adaptability to diverse student needs and settings

Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, and implement individualized PT interventions for students ages pre-K through 12th grade
• Develop and maintain treatment documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to facilitate student success and inclusion
• Contribute to IEP development and attend team meetings as needed
• Foster a safe and encouraging environment to promote student independence and participation
