Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Illinois
• Previous experience in pediatric or school-based PT preferred
• Strong assessment, documentation, and progress-reporting skills
• Knowledge of IEP processes and special education best practices
• Effective communicator with students, staff, and families
• Ability to adapt interventions for diverse student needs
• Organizational skills to manage a flexible caseload

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for students referred for services
• Develop individualized treatment goals and therapeutic interventions
• Deliver direct and consultative therapy in classroom and resource settings
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and provide clear input on student goals and accommodations
• Maintain accurate records and timely documentation of therapy sessions and student progress
• Educate school personnel and families on strategies to support student skill development
• Support a positive and accessible learning environment for all students
