Discover an exciting summer opportunity as a Physical Therapist serving students in vibrant Baltimore-area schools! This unique contract position focuses on delivering vital physical therapy services to children during the Extended School Year (ESY) program or supporting infants and toddlers with developmental needs. Sessions take place entirely on-site, allowing you to build meaningful connections with students and collaborate directly with school staff.
Available Assignments:
- ESY PT (4 days/week, June 29 July 30; professional development June 25). Work with K-12 students in special and general education settings.
- Infants & Toddlers Services PT (4 days/week, June 22 July 30). Conduct developmental assessments and therapy for young children.
Work schedules are set MondayThursday only, allowing you to keep your Fridays free and enjoy better work-life balance. ESY hours generally run 9:303:30 at Special Education Schools or 8:002:00 at General Education campuses (max 6 hours/day, 24 hrs/week). Infants & Toddlers assignments offer up to 28 hours/week (max 7 hrs/day).
What You Bring:
- Active Maryland Physical Therapist licensuremust present proof.
- School-based physical therapy experience preferred.
- Skills in individual and group PT with children from varying backgrounds and ages.
- Professionalism and adaptability for working across multiple school sites.
- Ability to meet credentialing requirements, including House Bill 486 background check/fingerprinting and employment history review.
What Youll Do:
- Deliver physical therapy to students or infants/toddlers (depending on assignment).
- Conduct assessments, create treatment plans, and document progress.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student outcomes.
- Participate in site-based professional development.
