A contract physical therapy position is available in Aurora, CO, to provide essential support for students in grades K-8 within a school setting. This role focuses on delivering both direct and indirect physical therapy services aligned with students Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) or Section 504 plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments of gross motor skills, mobility, strength, balance, coordination, and postural control to evaluate student needs.
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, parents, and special education teams to enhance student participation and inclusive opportunities.
- Developing, implementing, and adjusting tailored therapy interventions, including the use of adaptive equipment and assistive devices.
- Maintaining accurate documentation, tracking student progress, and contributing to IEP/504 meetings and school initiatives.
Candidates must hold a Masters Degree and possess a valid Physical Therapist license issued by the NC Board of Physical Therapy Examiners. This position requires onsite availability for approximately 1.5 hours per week.
