Step into a rewarding contract position as a Physical Therapist supporting K-12 students near Arlington, TX. This unique opportunity begins with a part-time schedule during the summer, leading into a full-time role through the academic year, giving you both flexibility and consistency. Youll work with a diverse range of students and needs, advancing your skills in a collaborative educational setting.
In this itinerant position, youll travel to multiple campuses, largely serving the southern portion of the district, making a significant impact for students across various grade levels and abilities.
Qualifications:
- Current, active Physical Therapist license in Texas
- Prior experience delivering PT services in school settings
- Strong clinical skills and comfort with a wide range of disabilities
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload and adapt to changing environments
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative PT services to K-12 students in accordance with IEPs and district standards
- Deliver approximately 40 service hours between July 13 and August 3 as you transition into the role
- Move into a full-time position beginning in August, continuing through May 27, 2027
- Assess, plan, and implement therapy interventions for students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to support student progress
- Maintain documentation and attend relevant meetings as required
