Step into a rewarding opportunity as a school-based Physical Therapist for the upcoming 20262027 academic year in the Arlington, TX area. In this pivotal onsite, contract role, youll work directly with a small caseload of approximately 8 K12 students, providing vital physical therapy services that empower students to thrive academically and socially.
Your expertise will be integral as you collaborate closely with school teams and families, ensuring that every child receives the support they need. The flexible, part-time schedule is tailored to student needs and offers a balanced workload ideal for therapists seeking meaningful impact while maintaining work-life harmony.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students with a range of needs related to mobility, motor skills, or functional abilities
- Assess students, complete evaluations, and participate in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Provide consultative guidance to teachers, staff, and families to foster inclusive educational experiences
- Document services, progress, and outcomes in alignment with district and state guidelines
- Collaborate with special education staff and other related service professionals to support student success
Qualifications & Desired Skills:
- Active Texas Physical Therapist License
- Experience in a school setting is a plus, but not required
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with a focused caseload
- Commitment to fostering positive, productive working relationships across teams
