With two openings available, you'll play a crucial part in fostering student independence, mobility, and overall wellbeing during their formative years.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Illinois Physical Therapist (PT) license
- Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
- Adaptability to work effectively with diverse student populations in onsite settings
- Strong communication and collaborative skills for working alongside educators and families
- Ability to tailor interventions and support plans for K-12 students with varying needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group physical therapy services for students, as outlined in IEPs
- Assess and document motor skills and mobility, recommending adaptive equipment as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy into daily routines
- Contribute expertise to educational teams to promote student access and participation
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in school therapy
