This part-time, contract position runs from early August through late May and is ideal for professionals seeking a balanced work schedule. Situated onsite, you will join an Early Interventionist Team committed to supporting students' growth and development in a nurturing school environment.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Louisiana Physical Therapist (PT) license required
- Previous experience in a pediatric or school-based setting preferred
- Passion for early childhood education and intervention
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet individual student needs
- Reliable and self-motivated, with excellent time management skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to a small caseload of early learners as part of an intervention team
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to coordinate support and maximize student development
- Participate in team meetings and contribute expertise in childhood mobility, strength, and function
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations and best practices for school-based therapy
- Maintain organized, up-to-date records for each student served
