Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a dedicated Physical Therapist in a contract role for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. With this opportunity, youll provide physical therapy services at a single school site, collaborating with educators and helping students achieve mobility and academic success. Enjoy working part-timethree days per weekwhile engaging in purposeful interactions and hands-on care.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct physical therapy services to students with diverse needs, supporting their educational goals
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and implement interventions to enhance mobility, strength, and functional independence
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to create strategies and accommodate students in the classroom setting
  • Monitor student progress and document outcomes, adjusting plans as necessary
  • Educate staff and families on exercises and adaptive equipment use
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
  • Stay up-to-date on best practices within school-based physical therapy

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
  • Pediatric or school-based experience strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and related documentation
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to engage students of all ability levels in therapeutic activities
  • Reliable, flexible, and able to work three days per week for the duration of the school year
