Make a meaningful impact supporting students as a dedicated Physical Therapist in a contract role for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. With this opportunity, youll provide physical therapy services at a single school site, collaborating with educators and helping students achieve mobility and academic success. Enjoy working part-timethree days per weekwhile engaging in purposeful interactions and hands-on care.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct physical therapy services to students with diverse needs, supporting their educational goals
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized therapy plans, and implement interventions to enhance mobility, strength, and functional independence
- Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to create strategies and accommodate students in the classroom setting
- Monitor student progress and document outcomes, adjusting plans as necessary
- Educate staff and families on exercises and adaptive equipment use
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams
- Stay up-to-date on best practices within school-based physical therapy
Qualifications:
- Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in California
- Pediatric or school-based experience strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and related documentation
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to engage students of all ability levels in therapeutic activities
- Reliable, flexible, and able to work three days per week for the duration of the school year
