Qualifications & Experience:

  • Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain).
  • Experience in a school or pediatric setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with students, families, and educational staff.
  • Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Familiarity with a range of physical therapy interventions tailored for school-aged children.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students to determine the need for physical therapy services within the educational setting.
  • Develop and deliver intervention plans designed to improve students mobility, functional skills, and participation in school activities.
  • Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy goals into each students educational plan.
  • Monitor progress, document services, and adjust treatment as needed.
  • Consult and educate staff and caregivers to support the generalization of skills throughout the school day.
