Key Qualifications:
- Active California Physical Therapy License (CA PT License) required
- Proven experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy highly valued
- Knowledge of PT protocols within educational environments
- Familiarity with physical therapy assistant (PTA) collaboration preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills
Responsibilities and Daily Duties:
- Provide physical therapy services to students as outlined in IEPs, adjusting interventions based on individual progress
- Assess, plan, and implement therapeutic activities tailored for the school setting
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and family members to integrate therapy into daily classroom routines
- Monitor, document, and report on each students progress toward therapy goals
- Educate staff and caregivers on adaptive techniques and equipment to support students' mobility and participation
- Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations relating to school-based therapy services
