The role is centered near Yuba City, CA and involves working across various school sites, bringing your expertise in sign language to those who need it most.

Key Qualifications:

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is required
• Experience as a paraprofessional in a school environment is preferred
• Positive attitude and patience in supporting diverse learners
• EIPA certification is not required
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment across multiple locations

Primary Responsibilities:

• Facilitate communication between students, staff, and peers using ASL
• Provide direct support to students, enabling their full participation in after-school activities
• Collaborate with teachers and other staff to implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) as needed
• Foster an inclusive, engaging, and safe environment for every student
• Travel to different sites as scheduled, ensuring continuity of support

The schedule for this role is Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 6:00 PM, averaging between 20-24 hours per week. This consistent part-time assignment offers meaningful daily interactions and the flexibility suited for a dynamic professional.
