Make a meaningful difference in a student's educational journey by supporting an 11th-grade visually impaired learner as a 1:1 paraprofessional. Based near Harrisville, RI, this contract position is an opportunity to positively impact a young person's school experience while developing your professional skills in a supportive environment.

In this role, you will work closely with a single student, ensuring their success and engagement throughout the school day. Youll collaborate with a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI), who provides specialized instruction several times a week, and take responsibility for preparing materials to support your student's learning.

Key Qualifications:

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional in school settings
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Interest or experience working with visually impaired students is a plus
• Adaptable, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting student needs
• Comfort working 32.5 hours per week across 5 days

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, 1:1 support to an 11th-grade student throughout the school day
• Assist with daily routines, academic tasks, and adaptive strategies
• Prepare and modify instructional materials for use with the TVI
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for your student
• Maintain open communication with the TVI and other educational team members
