An opportunity is available for experienced paraprofessionals to support elementary-level students within a public school setting in Providence, RI. This full-time contract position spans the 2025/2026 school year, beginning as soon as possible and concluding on June 16, 2026.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized 1:1 and small-group instructional and behavioral support to students, including those with behavioral challenges
• Implement classroom accommodations to support student learning and engagement
• Assist with student transitions throughout the school day and during community-based outings
• Supervise students during bus rides as needed
• Adapt to various roles including classroom-based and dedicated 1:1 support positions

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or GED
• One of the following is required: Passing ParaPro assessment score of 461 or higher Two years of college credit Associates degree or higher Valid teacher assistant certification from another state
• Completion of, or current enrollment in, a RIDE-approved Teacher Assistant Training Program
• At least one year of experience supporting behavioral students as a Teacher Assistant or Paraprofessional

Location and Hours:

• Providence, Rhode Island
• Full-time, approximately 32.5 hours per week
