Dedicated Autism Support Interventionists (ASI) and Emotional Support Interventionists (ESI) are needed to provide hands-on and behavior-focused support in specialized classroom settings. This is a unique chance to collaborate closely with talented school professionals and positively impact the lives of students with autism spectrum disorders or emotional and behavioral needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree preferred in Education, Psychology, ABA, Human Services, or a related field
- Associates degree considered with at least one year of relevant experience (three years preferred)
- Experience supporting children or adolescents with autism, emotional/behavioral disabilities, ABA, behavioral health, mental health, or crisis intervention
- Exceptional de-escalation and behavior management skills
- Capable of working calmly and effectively during challenging behavioral events
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication
- Must provide one supervisor reference check
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and small group instruction and behavioral interventions
- Implement Behavior Intervention Plans and trauma-informed strategies under the direction of classroom teams
- Support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional routines, transitions, communication, and data collection for IEPs
- Assist with personal care needs as needed
- Maintain a consistent, therapeutic, and structured environmenteven during behavioral escalations
- Collaborate closely with teachers, therapists, and other specialists to maximize student success
Openings are available on a first-come, first-served basis and may evolve to meet school needs. The position runs August 10, 2026, to June 11, 2027, with 32.535 hours per week, aligning with the local school calendar.
