Step into a vital role supporting a middle school student in a resource room environment, where your dedication makes a true impact every day. This contract position runs full-time from ASAP through May 28, 2027, with daily hours of 7:45 am to 3:00 pm. You'll provide essential one-on-one assistance to a student who benefits from personalized educational and care support, helping to nurture their academic growth and daily well-being.

Required Qualifications:

• Current Illinois paraprofessional certification (must be submitted with your application)
• Previous experience working with students who have disabilities and/or medical needs
• Comfort in assisting with toileting, feeding, and hygiene tasks as necessary
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, adaptable approach
• Professionalism and reliability in school settings

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct, individualized support to a middle school student in the resource room
• Assist with academic tasks and stay attentive to behavioral and emotional needs
• Support personal care activities, including hygiene, feeding, and toileting when required
• Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other team members
• Help implement classroom routines and reinforcement strategies for student success
• Encourage inclusion and self-advocacy skills for your student
