Job Description

This full-time contract opportunity offers 32.5 hours per week as a Teachers Aide (Paraprofessional) in a dedicated 1:1 setting with a 3rd Grade student in an Emotional Disabilities (ED) classroom. Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with students in behavioral settings is essential
  • Prior paraprofessional or teachers aide background preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and redirection skills
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain a supportive, safe classroom environment
  • Patient, caring, and adaptable approach with students requiring extra support
  • Reliable availability for full-time onsite schedule (32.5 hours per week)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one support to a 3rd grade student with emotional/behavioral needs
  • Assist with implementation of behavior management plans under teacher guidance
  • Foster a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere
  • Help with daily academic, social, and emotional learning activities
  • Collaborate with teachers and related service staff to support student progress
  • Monitor and document student engagement, participation, and behavior
  • Ensure a safe, respectful environment for all students
