Make a positive impact each day supporting students as a 1:1 Paraprofessional in a RISE classroom for the 26/27 school year near Waukegan, IL. Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois Paraprofessional license required
- Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in a school setting preferred
- Comfortable working in a one-on-one capacity with students with diverse needs
- Solid communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with teachers and support staff
- Patient, adaptable, and committed to fostering a nurturing learning environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a student in a RISE classroom, helping implement individualized education plans and behavioral interventions
- Assist with classroom activities, daily routines, and specialized instruction under teacher direction
- Support the students social-emotional, behavioral, and academic goals
- Monitor student progress, documenting observations and maintaining confidentiality
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to ensure consistent support and communication
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and positive learning atmosphere
