Job Description

This opportunity is for two paraprofessionals to support early childhood education in a public school setting in Northbrook, Illinois. These full-time, on-site positions are open immediately and run through June 8, 2026. The role involves working closely with young learners, providing tailored assistance to help meet their developmental and educational needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assisting classroom teachers in delivering instructional activities
  • Supporting children with diverse learning needs, particularly in early childhood programs
  • Collaborating with educators and staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment
  • Monitoring student progress and helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs)

Qualifications and experience desired:

  • Must hold an Illinois Expanded Initial Educator License (IEIN) paraprofessional certificate issued by the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
  • Previous experience as a paraprofessional in early childhood or special education settings preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students, families, and school staff
  • Ability to remain patient, organized, and proactive in a dynamic classroom environment
