Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar support role within a school setting
  • Completion of all state-mandated trainings prior to start date
  • Clean background check
  • Strong ability to build rapport and provide individualized assistance to students
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Professionalism, patience, and a positive attitude in varying classroom situations

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver dedicated 1:1 support to students throughout the school day
  • Assist classroom teachers with instructional activities, classroom management, and student engagement
  • Encourage academic, behavioral, and social growth for assigned students
  • Monitor student progress and communicate observations to teachers and specialists
  • Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and positive learning environment
  • Uphold school policies and confidentiality standards at all times
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to ensure the holistic success of each student
