Support students educational journeys as a valued paraprofessional in a dynamic school environment near Washington, DC. This contract opportunity lets you make a meaningful impact every day, collaborating with dedicated educators to foster student growth and success.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or classroom assistant in K-12 settings
• Familiarity with supporting diverse learners, including students with special needs
• Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with students, staff, and families
• Ability to follow teacher-led instructional plans and provide positive reinforcement
• Adaptability and patience in dynamic classroom situations
• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate degree or higher a plus)

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers in delivering instructional activities and modifying materials as needed
• Work one-on-one or in small groups with students to reinforce learning concepts
• Provide support for students with academic, behavioral, or physical needs throughout the school day
• Supervise students during non-instructional times such as lunch, recess, or field trips
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Collaborate with teaching staff to track student progress and communicate observations
