Step into a meaningful contract opportunity supporting elementary and middle school students as a paraprofessional in the Warrenton, NC area. This temporary position runs from now through December 10, 2026, providing vital assistance to students with behavioral challenges and some with autism. Your role will make an immediate difference in the lives of learners, collaborating closely with educators and offering targeted support where its needed most.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, with potential for partial-day assignments as scheduling for the caseload is finalized. Multiple positions are available: two to three for elementary settings, and one for middle school.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma required, plus at least 48 hours of college-level coursework
• Two or more years of paraprofessional experience in a school-based environment
• Confidence working with students on a 1:1 basis, particularly those facing behavioral needs and/or on the autism spectrum
• Adaptable, patient, and collaborative approach
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to student support

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct support to assigned students throughout the school day
• Assist with classroom activities, behavior management, and academic tasks as directed by the lead teacher
• Help implement individualized education strategies
• Foster an encouraging and inclusive classroom atmosphere for all learners
• Maintain clear documentation of student progress and incidents when needed
