Key Qualifications:
- Experience working as a paraprofessional or in a similar classroom support capacity
- Familiarity with supporting students with diverse learning needs in a K-12 environment
- Ability to follow individualized education plans (IEPs) under the guidance of certified special education teachers
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, staff, and families
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine enthusiasm for supporting childrens educational growth
- Onsite availability in the Menominee, MI area
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist special education teachers in implementing instructional activities and behavioral support strategies
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students, ensuring engagement and progress toward academic and behavioral goals
- Foster a welcoming and inclusive learning space, promoting positive social interactions
- Support students participation in classroom and school routines
- Help monitor and document student progress and communicate observations to teaching staff
- Uphold a safe and respectful environment for all students
