A rewarding contract opportunity is now available for experienced Paraprofessionals/Educational Technicians with a valid II or III certificate! You'll work throughout the 2026-2027 academic year (August through June) in a supportive elementary setting, assisting K-5 students with a life skills-based curriculum. This full-time position offers 32 hours weekly and the chance to contribute to both academic and personal growth for young learners.
What Were Looking For:
- Active Educational Technician II or III certificate (required)
- Prior experience supporting children in K-5, preferably in a life skills or specialized classroom
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to follow teacher guidance and implement individualized plans
- Patience, empathy, and enthusiasm for working with children of diverse abilities
- Reliability and strong work ethic for a full school year commitment
Key Responsibilities:
- Support classroom teachers with lesson execution and individualized student engagement
- Assist students with daily routines and life skills activities
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and adaptive classroom environment
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to meet various learning and behavioral needs
- Document student progress and help maintain a safe, structured atmosphere
- Communicate proactively with staff and families as needed
