An educational paraprofessional position is available for the current school year, running ASAP through June 2026, based in Waitsburg, WA. This full-time, contract role offers approximately 32.5 to 35 hours per week supporting middle school students, with flexibility to assist other grade levels as needed.
Responsibilities include working closely with teachers to support classroom instruction, assisting students with diverse learning needs, and helping manage classroom behavior. The paraprofessional will help facilitate educational activities and provide targeted support to ensure student success. A focus on middle school students is primary; however, adaptability to serve other grades will be necessary.
Candidates must have previous experience working in a school setting, demonstrating an understanding of student needs and school routines. Experience with behavioral challenges is highly valued and will be discussed during the interview process. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, patience, and a proactive approach to supporting student learning and growth.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a school environment
- Ability to work flexible hours to accommodate student caseload needs
- Experience with behavior management preferred
- Comfortable supporting middle school students and adaptable to other grade levels
- Strong collaboration skills with teachers and staff
