This position offers a unique opportunity to support K-12 students within a school environment while providing vital transportation assistance. The role involves working part-time alongside students on a van, ensuring safe and timely travel between home and school. The assignment is set in Vernon Rockville, CT, within an elementary school setting, and runs through the current school year under a contract arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Transport a student safely to and from school according to the designated schedule.
• Provide assistance and supervision during rides, fostering a supportive and secure environment.
• Collaborate with school staff to accommodate the student's needs during transit.
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain clear communication with supervisors and families as needed.

Qualifications:

• Current and valid CT Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) license required.
• Experience or training as a Paraprofessional is preferred.
• Ability to work a structured part-time schedule:
  • Monday to Friday mornings: pick-up at 7:10 AM, return at 9:15 AM.
  • Monday to Thursday afternoons: pick-up at 12:50 PM, return at 3:30 PM.
  • Friday afternoon pick-up at 10:50 AM.
• Commitment to student welfare and safety.
• Punctuality and reliability are essential for adherence to the transportation schedule.
