Job Description

You will work in integrated and self-contained preschool settings, fostering an engaging and inclusive environment for children ages 3-5 with mild to moderate disabilities.

Your schedule supports work-life balance, with hours from 8:15am1:45pm, Monday through Friday. You'll be instrumental in assisting lead teachers, encouraging independence and positive behaviors, and helping each child reach his or her potential.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • At least one year of experience working with children under 11 years old
  • Experience in special education or preschool settings a plus
  • Ability to provide patience, empathy, and encouragement to young learners
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Demonstrated reliability and commitment

Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom instruction and adapt activities for diverse learning needs
  • Provide hands-on assistance during lessons, playtime, and daily routines
  • Foster relationships that build childrens confidence and skills
  • Help maintain an organized, safe, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
  • Assist with individualized instruction and reinforce teachers goals
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support each childs progress
