Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a school or with children is highly valued
  • Ability to follow teacher instructions and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Patience, empathy, and excellent communication skills
  • Adaptability to changing classroom situations and student needs
  • Strong organizational skills and a collaborative mindset
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional coursework in education or child development is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students within the classroom, small groups, and individually as directed
  • Reinforce lesson plans, instructional materials, and behavioral expectations
  • Assist students with daily routines and promote independence
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teachers
  • Assist with clerical tasks, preparation of learning materials, and supervision of activities
