This contract opportunity covers both summer school and the upcoming school year, located in the Chicago heights area near Tinley Park, IL.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Paraprofessional in school settings is preferred
• Demonstrated success supporting students with behavioral challenges
• Ability to follow behavior intervention plans and collaborate with educators and specialists
• Calm demeanor, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications are a plus
• Background check and compliance with school district requirements

Role Responsibilities:

• Work closely and consistently with one student, providing 1:1 behavioral and academic support
• Implement strategies to encourage positive behavior and engagement
• Assist with classroom participation, social interaction, and transitions throughout the day
• Collaborate with teachers, behavioral staff, and administrators to ensure student progress
• Help create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing classroom atmosphere
• Maintain accurate documentation of student activities and behaviors as needed
