This contract opportunity is available for both summer session and the following academic year. Working near Tinley Park and Chicago Heights, youll support a single student with behavioral needs, helping foster a positive and engaging classroom experience.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional in school settings
• Skilled in providing behavior management and social-emotional support
• Ability to adapt to individualized student needs and follow behavior intervention plans
• Excellent communication skills for collaborating with teachers and staff
• Patient, reliable, and committed to supporting student progress
• Completion of any required certifications for paraprofessional roles in Illinois

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a student during classroom activities, transitions, and throughout the school day
• Implement behavior support strategies as directed by teacher and support staff
• Assist with academic tasks, communication, and social skills development
• Help maintain a safe, positive learning environment following school protocols
• Monitor progress, note behavioral/emotional changes, and communicate observations to team members
• Encourage student independence and confidence while guiding participation and engagement
