Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young adults in an educational or care setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow directions and adapt to varying student needs
- Patience, empathy, and a collaborative attitude
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in education or related field a plus
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist classroom teachers in implementing lesson plans and activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special needs or those requiring extra assistance
- Help create a positive, respectful learning atmosphere
- Assist with classroom management and organization
- Support students in developing academic and social skills
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the teaching team
- Supervise students during transitions, recess, and other non-classroom times as needed
