Job Description
A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated professional to support students in an educational setting focused on behavioral and developmental needs. This contract position is based in Sunnyvale, CA, serving an elementary school environment that supports children ages 3 to 12.
The role requires expertise as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), with responsibilities including implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy techniques under supervision. Working hours are from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, and 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing one-on-one behavioral support to students across a caseload of 3 to 12 children
- Collaborating with teaching staff and supervising clinicians, such as paraprofessionals and behavior specialists
- Documenting student progress and adapting interventions to meet individual needs
- Participating in team meetings and contributing to individualized education plans (IEPs)
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required
- Experience working with children in school-based settings, especially with behavioral or developmental challenges
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
