Paraprofessional (Para) Positions 20262027 School Year
Location: Near Ortley, South Dakota
School District: Servicing school districts near Ortley, South Dakota
Schedule: 3537.5 hours per week
Assignment: 1 school site
Sunbelt Staffing is seeking dedicated Paraprofessionals for the 20262027 school year in Ortley, SD. We currently have two openings (with the possibility of a third) supporting students in a close-knit, one-building school community.
Position Overview
We are hiring:
One High School Paraprofessional
One Elementary Paraprofessional
Potential third Para to support vocational (VOCO) Special Education programming
These roles focus on classroom support and assisting Special Education students. The school serves a small community of approximately 260 residents, with around 35 students in the SPED population.
Responsibilities
Provide classroom support to teachers and students
Assist with individualized learning plans and activities
Support students with diverse learning needs in both academic and functional tasks
Collaborate with teachers and school staff to ensure student success
Requirements
High School Diploma required
Willingness to complete Praxis exam (can be taken after starting)
Previous experience in education or support roles is a plus
Additional Details
Caseload: Approximately 35 Special Education students across the school
Work setting: One school building (serving all grade levels)
Supervision: Not required for this role
