Qualifications & Experience:

• Previous experience as a paraprofessional or similar educational support role preferred
• Strong interest in child development, education, or related fields
• Ability to work patiently and compassionately one-on-one with an elementary student
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Flexibility and professionalism in adapting to daily activities and student needs
• Must meet requirements for working in a school environment, including background clearance

Responsibilities:

• Support a single elementary student throughout the school day, both in and outside the classroom
• Assist with classwork, organization, and, when needed, modified curriculum or assignments
• Promote the students independence, social skills, and positive behavior
• Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and school staff to ensure the student's individual needs are met
• Maintain accurate and confidential records of support provided and progress observed
• Encourage a welcoming and supportive classroom atmosphere
