Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a Secondary ESY Paraprofessional this summer. Working onsite and located near Stillwater, MN, youll make a meaningful difference supporting students in a school-based environment from July 6 to July 23. The schedule follows a Monday through Thursday routine, 7:30am to 1:00pm with a 30-minute lunch, totaling 20 hours per week. This role places you directly in the classroom, working one-on-one with students or providing assistance within a group setting to enhance learning and student engagement.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Para Test Certification or proof of at least two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester credits/90 quarter credits) from an accredited institution, or an earned college degree
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow teacher direction and school procedures
  • Flexible, patient, and enthusiastic attitude for working with diverse learners
  • Dependable and punctual, able to commit to the full ESY session

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one or group support to students during classroom activities
  • Assist lead teachers in implementing instructional and behavioral strategies
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all students
  • Support students with diverse needs, encouraging independence and participation
  • Communicate effectively with instructional team members regarding student progress and needs
