Join a supportive educational environment as a dedicated paraprofessional for an Elementary Extended School Year (ESY) program near North St. Paul, MN. This contract opportunity will run from July 6 through July 23, with required orientation to be held in June (exact date to be announced). Contribute to a team across three school sites, delivering meaningful support to students through one-on-one assistance and classroom collaboration.
Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:45 am 2:15 pm (includes 30-minute lunch), totaling 20 hours per week.
Key Qualifications:
- Para Test Certification required.
- Proof of completion of two years of post-secondary coursework (60 semester or 90 quarter credits) at an accredited institution, OR a college degree.
- Experience working as a paraprofessional in educational settings preferred.
- Comfortable working 1:1 with elementary-aged students and providing classroom assistance.
- Adaptable, reliable, and collaborative with a strong commitment to student support.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work directly with students in a 1:1 setting or assist teachers in classroom activities.
- Support a safe, inclusive, and positive environment, adapting strategies to suit individual student needs.
- Assist with instructional tasks, organization, and classroom routines as directed by the lead teacher.
- Encourage social, academic, and behavioral growth for students during ESY programming.
- Communicate effectively with staff and follow directions to help students reach their fullest potential.
