With full-time hours and an itinerant assignment, your work will make a direct impact across multiple school sites. If youre fluent in American Sign Language (ASL), even without certification, your skills will be especially valued as you help bridge communication and foster inclusive learning environments.

What You'll Bring:

• Experience as a paraprofessional or classroom assistant in school settings
• Comfort working with students of diverse cultures, backgrounds, and abilities
• Fluency in ASL (certification not required)
• Flexibility to travel between assigned schools as needed
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other educational staff
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide dedicated support to students with special needs, tailoring assistance to each individuals learning plan
• Facilitate effective communication between students, teachers, and peers, particularly for those utilizing ASL
• Assist with classroom activities, instruction, and transitions throughout the school day
• Foster positive relationships, encourage active participation, and help maintain a safe, nurturing environment
• Support teachers in preparing lesson materials, managing behaviors, and supervising students during meals and recess
