Job Description

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Experience working as a paraprofessional or classroom aide preferred
  • Understanding of school policies, student confidentiality, and classroom protocols
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with teachers, staff, and students
  • Ability to assist students with varied learning needs in both individual and group settings
  • Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for supporting student achievement
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or credentials related to child development or education a plus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct instructional and non-instructional support to students under the direction of a certified teacher
  • Assist in implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs
  • Support classroom management and help maintain a positive, organized learning environment
  • Encourage student engagement, participation, and positive behavior
  • Aid with administrative and clerical tasks to support classroom operations
  • Supervise students during class activities, transitions, lunch, and recess as directed
