Position Overview

Seeking a dedicated Educational Technician (Ed Tech) / Paraprofessional to provide classroom support within a Pre-K setting. This is an excellent opportunity to work with young learners during a critical stage of development while supporting teachers in creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive educational environment.

The district currently has contractors working successfully and is actively looking to add additional team members for the 2026-2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Support Pre-K students throughout the school day.
• Assist teachers with classroom instruction and daily activities.
• Help students develop social, emotional, and early academic skills.
• Provide individual and small-group support as directed by the classroom teacher.
• Foster a positive, nurturing, and safe learning environment.
• Assist with classroom organization, transitions, and student engagement.
• Collaborate with educators and support staff to meet student needs.
• Encourage independence while providing appropriate guidance and support.

Qualifications

• Maine Ed Tech Certification required.
• Previous experience working with young children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to create positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
• Passion for supporting student growth and development.
